Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters stepped up the affluence factor for Creatures of the Wind Fall RTW Collection. Debuted this Thursday, Gabier and Peters Fall Line was a testament to the evolution of eclectic wearability and creative refinement.
Silhouettes were based on traditional eastern garb — kimono tunics and wrap pieces styled in long, lean layers. Soft fur of fox and mohair gave structured fabrics a luxurious feminine touch. The collection wasnt without its downsides, a jarring print was paired with a pleasantly understated one. Or a dowdy skirt met a sexy open-backed tank. The aesthetic juxtapositions came off as aggressive as opposed to adventurous. The soft spring palette loses its preciousness in desultory hues and awkward silhouettes. Creatures of the Wind seems to still be finding its fashion niche, the mark is almost on target.
